Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba (formerly Tuface), has officially confirmed his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. The couple, married since 2012, had been regarded as one of Nigeria’s most enduring celebrity pairs.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, 2Baba revealed that they have been separated for some time and have initiated divorce proceedings. Although the post was removed, the singer later went live to confirm that the contents were true, stating, “No one hacked my account, I said what I said. I come in peace.”
The announcement has left fans stunned, as Annie and 2Baba had previously overcome public challenges in their marriage. The couple, who share two daughters, have also unfollowed each other on social media, further signaling their split.
2Baba has promised to hold a press conference soon to share more details on the separation and his future plans.
